"Hierarchal Liturgy and laying of a foundation-stone of the church of St Zlata of Meglin in Zagreb"

On the 20th Sunday after Pentecost (26th of October 2014 AD), on the feast-day of the holy new-martyr Zlata of Meglin and the Holy Fathers of the Seventh Ecumenical Council, in the Croatian capital Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was celebrated. His Grace, the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia k.k. Stephen officiated the Liturgy, with the concelebration of the Diocesan Hierarch – His Eminence, Metropolitan of Europe k. Poemen and His Eminence, Metropolitan of Kumanovo and Osogovo Dr. Joseph, along with numerous clergy of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric. Several hundreds Orthodox believers from different parts of Croatia, Austria and the rest of Europe participated prayerfully in the holy service.

Following the Liturgy, a foundation-stone of the church of St Zlata of Meglin in Zagreb was set by the Primate and Hierarchs. His Grace addressed the faithful with paternal homily.

This sacred and solemn service was attended by the Minister of foreign affairs of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Poposki, the President of the Croatian Parliament, Mr. Josip Leko, representatives of diplomatic corps in Zagreb, representatives of other Christian Churches and traditional religious communities, political and cultural life of Croatia and the region.
