On April 18th 2018 a delegation from the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric visited KPBA and the monastery of the Holy Archangel Michael in Kiev, Ukraine.
His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph met with the Patriarchal Vicar, His Eminence Metropolitan of Perejaslavska and Bila Cerkva k. Epiphanius (the Academy’s rector), as well as with the Secretary of the Sacred Synod of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine – Kiev Patriarchate, His Eminence Archbishop of Chernihiv and Nezhinsky, k. Eustratius. The current conditions and latest developments were discussed. In particular, special attention was paid to the issues of theological education and the upbringing of future priests.
The parties exchanged gifts. His Eminence Metropolitan of Kumanovo and Osogovo k. Joseph presented to the Academy a valuable icon of St. Clement Ohrid – one of the disciples of saints Cyril and Methodius and patron of the Macedonian Orthodox Church. Metropolitan Epiphanius presented guests with titles from the Academy’s editions.
Following the meeting the Macedonian delegation visited the academy’s educational and residential premises. Accompanied by k. Eustratius they also visited the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery.
