On May 11th 2015AD His Eminence, Metropolitan of Kumanovo and Osogovo k. Dr. Joseph, in the metropolitan Cathedral of St Nicholas in Kumanovo celebrated Divine Hierarchal Liturgy and the memorial service for the murdered police officers in the tragic events in Kumanovo.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). Thus, great is our debt to pay respect and never forget police officers who laid their lives. Moreover, we ought to pray for peace of their souls, and consolation of their relatives. During the Liturgy, a petitions have been offered on behalf of the wounded police officers and for the peace in our country.
In addition, every morning until the 40th day commemoration, Liturgy with memorial service is going to be served in the metropolitan Cathedral in Kumanovo. We hereby call upon all the faithful to take active part in these services.
